GU12s - Orange Classic Soccer Tournament Champions

The Coral Springs United GU12 squad prevailed as tournament Champions at the Orange Classic International Girls Soccer Tournament held in South Florida this past weekend.  After starting out with a hard fought 1-1 draw in their first game of the tournament, the girls put together an impressive run of three victories in a row. CSUFC GU12s went unbeaten in the tournament scoring 10 goals and only giving up 4.  The championship game was a thriller as it was a back and forth battle throughout the game.  With only seconds remaining in the game our GU12s scored the game tying goal to force the game into a shootout.  After many rounds of high pressure penalty kicks, the GU12s finally prevailed as Champions.  CSUFC would like to congratulate the girls for this Championship and thank Coach Howard Furman, Coach Corey Sheriff, and our Soccer Operations for their strong technical leadership.

In other tournament news, our GU10 Age Group entered two teams into the Orange Classic and performed very well in all of their games.  Leaning how to play and achieve results in a tournament occurs with experience and strong technical capabilities.  CSUFC Soccer Operations staff is pleased with the development of this age group and has growing expectations as they see the girls working hard at each training session.

The GU17s had a successfull Orange Classic tournament as they went unbeaten in the Showcase Division and walked away leaving a very favorable impression on the minds of the nearly 100 college coaches that watched the girls play.

Congratulations to all of our teams as building a tradition begins with you!
